Basmati Pilaf Pulao

Ingredients to serve:

This recipe was originally designed for 4 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 2, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 4 cup uncooked Hinode Basmati Rice

  • 6 tbsp Vegetable Oil

  • 2 tsp Cumin

  • 10 cloves

  • 2 cinnamon stick

  • ½ cup Vegetable Stock

  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper (chopped)

  • 1 cup carrot (slivered)

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 1 cup sweet corn

  • 1 cup cashews or peanuts

  • 1 cup Cilantro (chopped)

Method

  • Prepare Hinode rice per package instructions.

  • Sauté cumin, cloves and cinnamon in oil on medium heat for 1 minute.

  • Add vegetable stock, bell pepper, peas, carrot, corn and nuts; simmer until tender.

  • Add rice and sauté all ingredients together until cooked through, then remove cinnamon stick.

  • Garnish with cilantro and season with salt and paprika to taste.
